Project accomplished!
"Clean the Green" was a successful service project. 
At first when we arrived, we didn't see the crowds that we expected. We were a little disappointed, and we hoped that our project would benefit the community anyway. We started with a safety brief, and then we split up into teams and went out to gather the garbage!
Along the trail, the most garbage consisted of cigarette butts, but as we got further into the park, we found large stashes of trash such as pizza boxes, baby bottles, fast food bags, and beer cans.
After almost two hours of picking up the garbage, we reconvened at the Friendship Bridge for some trivia (Thanks Marita), story swaps, and overall reports of the project.

Welcome!
Our "Clean the Green" event takes place on Saturday, April 30, 2011. We will be cleaning Julia Davis park and the adjacent greenbelt from 4-7 p.m.
